Having staged January's draw for the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Porto will also host the final of the eight-team tournament at the Estádio do Bessa Século XXI on Sunday 4 June.

Tuesday opening
Portugal will kick off the final round on Tuesday 23 May with a fixture against France in Braga, while the other Group A game on the opening day pits 2004 runners-up Serbia and Montenegro against Germany in Barcelos. The following day, holders Italy begin their Group B campaign against Denmark in Aveiro and Agueda is the venue for Ukraine's meeting with the Netherlands.

Sunday arrival
All eight countries will play two matches in the first four days, before a rest day on Saturday 27 May. The groups conclude on 28/29 May, with the semi-finals taking place on 1 June in Braga and Aveiro. Group games and one semi-final will be held at two other stadiums that witnessed matches at UEFA EURO 2004™ - the Municipal de Braga and the Municipal de Aveiro. Another EURO ground, the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques in Guimaraes, will stage group fixtures along with the Estádio Cidade de Barcelos and Estádio Municipal de Águeda.
